Tokaji Samorodné Sweet Wine 0.5 L
Wine made from the main Tokaji varieties Furmint, Lipovina (Linden Leaf) and Yellow Muscat. Samorodné differs from ordinary wines in that it is made from bunches of grapes containing a high proportion of botrytised grapes. The quality and sweetness of the wine depend on the quantity of these grapes. It is stored in Tokaji "tufa" cellars and matured in oak barrels for at least three years. The cellar fungus Cladosporium cellare has an important influence on the development of the wine. This wine is pleasantly sweet. Historically, it is the best-selling Slovak Tokaji wine.
Colour: Golden-yellow with delicate amber hues.
Aroma: Notes of sweet honey, beeswax and a pronounced aroma of dried tropical fruit.
Taste: Sweet with refreshing, pleasantly lively acidity.
This wine pairs best with ham and cheese rolls, cakes, desserts, hard cheeses, after coffee or chocolate, all sweet main courses, as well as typical Slovak dishes such as pirohy (filled dumplings) or sweet rice pudding.
